Benedict Peters CAF adress

  • Welcome to the 26thannual confederation of african football awards
  • We are here, today, to celebrate excellence in football, both on and off the pitch, to recognize hard work, exceptional performance and to inspire the next generation of African footballers
  • Almost nowhere on earth will you find people as passionate about football as you do in Africa. Football is a force for good. A force that unifies Africa through a common passion. It is a tool to build a brighter and more positive future for Africa.
  • Young Africans are already shaping our future with their creativity and ingenuity across a variety of fields. Our generation must continue to provide platforms to recognize and celebrate their success and to inspire others to follow in their footsteps
  • In football, we recognise the bold young role models and ambassadors who have set the pace in their pursuit of excellence
  • Over the last year, aiteo has been supporting sports development starting with providing financial support to the Nigerian football federation and national team.
  • We are also underwriting the federation cup, Nigeria’s oldest cup competition. In doing so, we are driving the development of domestic football teams and growth of the national game.
  • We offer our congratulations to all of the nominees tonight. The recognition of your achievement is well deserved. But you are not the only winners tonight. The real winners are the young people that look up to you and are inspired to go out and be the best that they can.
  • I would like to take this opportunity to extend special thanks again to his excellency the president of the republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, and all the good and great people of Ghana, I want to thank you for your warm hospitality
  • I also want to thank and congratulate the team at caf for great job done
  • I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my beautiful wife Ella, my partner and my brother Francis, and the whole Aiteo family globally, without whom we would not be here today.
